Golden House opened in 1999 in Hill Top Plaza on Troy-Schenectady Road in Watervliet, and we've been cooking for the same Capital Region neighbors ever since. We're a small, family-run takeout — the kind of place where regulars order by number and we start the wok before they finish the sentence.

The menu is built on the American-Chinese classics done honestly: General Tso's and sesame chicken fried to order, lo mein and fried rice tossed in a hot wok, and a long list of chef specials for when you want something a little different. Our weekday lunch specials — served with onion fried rice and free soup, an egg roll, or a soda — have been a Watervliet habit for 27 years.
