What are Golden House hours?
Golden House is open Tuesday through Saturday 11:00 AM–10:00 PM and Sunday 12:00 PM–10:00 PM. We are closed Mondays. Lunch specials are served 11:00 AM–3:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday.
Is Golden House open on Monday?
No. Golden House is closed every Monday. We reopen Tuesday at 11:00 AM. The rest of the week we are open until 10:00 PM (Sunday opens at noon).
Does Golden House deliver?
Yes. Golden House offers local delivery from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a $18 minimum order and a $2 delivery fee. Call (518) 271-9034 to confirm we deliver to your address.
Most orders are pickup, and pickup is available any time we are open. For delivery, call ahead so we can confirm your address is within our local range.
How much are the lunch specials and when are they served?
Lunch specials start at $8.15 and are served 11:00 AM–3:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday. Each special comes with onion fried rice plus free wonton soup, egg drop soup, an egg roll, or a soda. Order by number.
What are the most popular dishes at Golden House?
House favorites include General Tso's chicken, sesame chicken, crab rangoon, roast pork or chicken lo mein, sweet & sour chicken, and beef with broccoli. Chef specials like Happy Family and Golden House Delight are also popular.
Does Golden House have vegetarian and healthy options?
Yes. There is a full vegetarian section — bean curd, eggplant in garlic sauce, sautéed string beans, Buddha's delight — plus a Health Food selection steamed with no salt, oil, MSG, or corn starch and sauce served on the side.
How spicy is the food, and which dishes are hot?
Dishes marked spicy on our menu — Hunan, Szechuan, garlic sauce, Kung Bo, and "hot & spicy" items — carry real heat. Most other dishes are mild. Ask us to adjust the spice level when you order.
What payment methods does Golden House accept?
Golden House accepts cash and major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Discover. You can pay at pickup or, for delivery, when your order arrives.
Is there parking, and where exactly is Golden House?
Golden House is at 143 Troy-Schenectady Rd #12, Watervliet, NY 12189, in Hill Top Plaza about a half mile from Vent Fitness. There is free parking in the plaza lot right out front.
Does Golden House take reservations?
No. Golden House is a takeout restaurant focused on pickup and local delivery, so we do not take reservations. Just call (518) 271-9034 to place an order and we'll tell you when it will be ready.
Can Golden House accommodate food allergies?
Tell us about any allergies when you order and we'll do our best to accommodate. Note that our kitchen handles peanuts, shellfish, soy, gluten, and other common allergens, so we cannot guarantee a dish is allergen-free.
