The dishes people order most are General Tso's Chicken ($13.15), Sesame Chicken ($13.15), Crab Rangoon ($6.85), Roast Pork or Chicken Lo Mein ($6.55 – $11.05), Sweet & Sour Chicken or Pork ($6.95 – $12.15), Beef with Broccoli ($7.95 – $13.25). Sesame chicken is what Golden House is known for, and it has been the house signature since 1999. Chef specials like Happy Family and Golden House Delight are popular too.

Every one of these is also available as a lunch special or a combination platter, which is the cheaper way to try one. Lunch specials start at $8.15.

Most orders are pickup, and pickup is available any time we are open. For delivery, call ahead so we can confirm your address is within our local range.

Yes. Latham is inside our delivery area, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a $18 minimum order and a $2 delivery fee. You can also pick up, since Golden House is on the Watervliet end of Troy-Schenectady Road, a few minutes from Latham. Call (518) 271-9034 either way and we will confirm your address.

There is free parking right out front in Hilltop Plaza if you would rather come get it.

Golden House delivers to Watervliet, Latham and Green Island. Delivery runs from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a $18 minimum order and a $2 delivery fee. If you are outside that area, such as Albany, Troy, or Cohoes, pickup is available any time we are open, and it is worth calling to check.

You can eat in. There are 3 tables, first come and first served, and we do not take reservations. Most of what we cook still goes out the door for pickup or local delivery. Order by phone at (518) 271-9034 and we will tell you when it will be ready.

Yes. We cater parties, offices and family gatherings with trays of the same dishes we cook every day, for groups of 10, 20, 50 or 100 and larger. Up to 100 people we need a day's notice. Over 100, give us two days. Call (518) 271-9034 or email nygoldenhouse@gmail.com and we will work out the date, the headcount and the dishes with you.

Most of the menu travels well in a tray. Chef specials, lo mein, fried rice and appetizers are the usual starting point.

Yes. There is a full vegetarian section of 9 dishes with bean curd, Eggplant in Garlic Sauce, Sautéed String Beans and Buddha's Delight, plus a Steamed selection made with no salt, oil, MSG, or corn starch, with sauce served on the side.

Anything marked with the spicy pepper on our menu carries real heat. That is 71 of our 229 dishes, and it includes some you might not expect, like Sesame Chicken. Everything else is mild. Ask us to adjust the spice level when you order, either way.

Golden House accepts cash and major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Discover. You can pay at pickup or, for delivery, when your order arrives.

Golden House is at 143 Troy-Schenectady Rd #12, Watervliet, NY 12189, in Hilltop Plaza about a half mile from Vent Fitness. There is free parking in the plaza lot right out front.
